So, why do you smoke? Habit? Addiction? Cravings? Because you have to?
These are only some of the excuses that I used to give my friends and family when asked why I was smoking. But the truth was that I didn't actually know why I was smoking; other than I had an addiction - and at that point it really hit me. So I decided to begin the journey to a smoke-free life. I investigated many, many articles that tried to give me smoking quit tips and have tried almost all known products. Believe me when I say there is no such thing as a list of "10 ways to quit smoking", or a "quit smoking checklist” that you don’t already know! Like anything in life, it requires hard work and dedication.
I’m sure that if you're reading this, you probably WANT to quit smoking, which is awesome. Because wanting to quit smoking means you’re already on the right track and have a good shot at quitting for good.
I have read many articles that give tips and suggestions on how to knock the habit for good. Let me be the first to tell you that not all of them work, as a matter of fact most of them are things you should do anyway, even if you’re not a smoker. So let’s jump right into this, shall we?
Smoking Quit Tips
As we all know, when it comes to quitting smoking there are two aspects: the physical and psychological. This is caused by the Nicotine in the cigarettes and the habit of smoking for years. So what can we do about this? I took the
liberty of viewing about 10-15 different sites, and they all say pretty much the same thing:
1. Drink a lot of liquids, especially water
2. Avoid sugar and fatty food
3. Exercise regularly and moderately.
4. Get more sleep
5. Take deep breaths
6. Change your habits
7.Do something to reduce your stress
8. Remind yourself every day why you are quitting
9. Avoid places you connect with smoking
10. Rely on your friends, family, and support group for help
And there right. If you were to follow all of these 10 steps to quit smoking, you would succeed. But come on, it’s a heck of a lot easier to say this, than to actually do it. And besides, it's all common sense! The average person should follow these steps regardless, even if you’re not trying to quit smoking!
When I was first trying to quit smoking, I failed quite a bit. But that's okay - at least I was trying. I have purchased many packs a day and have thrown them all out in that same day. It was ridiculous the money that I was wasting. Then I had an idea!
MONEY MONEY MONEY!
I can only speak for myself when i say this, but I think this time it is safe to say that most people probably also feel this way: I enjoy having money! So why was I wasting it on smoking? I began to number crunch - and considering one pack roughly costs $11.00 CAN - and I smoke on average one pack a day - in one month I was spending almost $350! WOW talk about an expensive habit! To me, this was a large incentive to quit smoking for good!
I began to put my cigarette money in a jar every day – 10$ a day – and this helped me a lot! I began building up money day by day and I used that imagine to get me through the first couple weeks. After a couple weeks I had almost $150 saved up. It felt amazing. I took my girlfriend out, we had a nice dinner and a movie. But the next day, I gave in. Not having all that money in the jar made the incentive go away.
Let me tell you, I was not pleased with myself, but I didn’t give up! Neither should you. You fail once, get back up and try it again! This time, I used a little bit of the money I had left over and began to test some products. Nicotine inhalers, books, pills – and was even considering getting a shot. I tested over 15 different products – and I can only vouch for 3 of them.
PLEASE TELL ME THIS WORKS!
In this section I will explain and review, in my opinion one of the best products available to people today to allow them to conquer their addiction of smoking.
CLICK HERE TO QUIT SMOKING TODAY!
The best part about this product is that it’s not medication! Its not a patch or a pill or gum or any of that other crap, because I’ve tried it all, and that stuff doesn’t work. But this approaches the psychological part of smoking that we all suffer from all the time. The product is an audio tape/file that you listen to while you sleep. I know, i was skeptical too. But when you consider all of the extra things that he sends you - books on different techniques used and healthy living tips for free - you cant really beat that deal. If and when you decide that your seriously thinking about quitting smoking and you purchase the product i can honestly say you wont regret it. Besides - he offers a full refund if you don't like it. So you cant really go wrong.
